Frozen Product Care

All our frozen products must be stored at or below -18°C

Frozen rodents can generally last up to 12 months in a deep freezer. However, this is a guideline only and can vary. It's also worth noting that feeders without hair (such as pinkies), can develop freezer burn after a few months. This doesn't effect the quality of the feeder but can be minimised by storing them in a small polystyrene box or insulated bag, inside your freezer.

Once opened make sure to reseal the bag or store in an airtight container.

**Please note we currently only deliver frozen products to South-East Queensland.**

  • Frozen Delivery is available at a flat rate of $29.95 for orders under $100, $19.95 for orders over $100, and just $5 for orders over $150.
  • We hand deliver all orders! Because of this, we have set delivery runs to each area. We visit most main areas of South-East Queensland, every week. If you select delivery at check out, we will contact you the day before delivery to confirm and advise our eta.
  • If no one will be home for your delivery, please notify us prior so we can leave an esky and ice packs to ensure your order stays frozen.

Weekly Delivery to SEQ

We hand deliver our frozen products weekly, to most main areas of South-East Queensland.

Our order deadline for delivery each week is 5:00pm the day before delivery.

For the Sunshine Coast this is 5:00pm Monday, 5:00pm Tuesday for North Brisbane, and 5:00pm Wednesday for South Brisbane / Gold Coast / Tamborine & Ipswich.

We offer product discounts and cheaper shipping for larger orders.

How do I know

When to upgrade feed size?

When you get down to your last 2-4 feeders of a size, we recommend feeding two of that size in a single feeding, for the last 1-2 feeds.

For example, feeding your last two pinkies in the same sitting, then upgrading to fuzzies the following week. This can help ensure the snake is ready for the larger food item.

As a guide, your snake should be able to consume food up to 1.5x the width of their body.

Frozen feeders can usually last up to 12 months in a regular freezer at -18°C. Just make sure to keep them in sealed packaging.

Where do you deliver?

For Insect Orders: We ship insects to all across QLD, NSW, VIC & SA

For Frozen Feeder Orders: Currently we primarily deliver to South-East Queensland. Delivery runs are every 7-14 days for the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, and surrounding areas.

Do I have to be home to receive my delivery?

For Frozen Orders: We recommend that you are home to receive your delivery, to ensure your products stay frozen.

However we understand that this can't always be the case. If you can't be home, we simply ask that you notify us, and leave out a small esky or cooler bag for us to put your order in. Or if you don't have one, we can provide one!

We will always send a text message the evening prior to delivery, to inform you of a time window, as well as an ETA text when we're on our way to you. 

For Insect Orders: If you're not home, your insects will be left in a safe place, out of the sun.

How fast is shipping?

Our frozen feeders are hand delivered in 5 business days or less! We travel all over SEQ every week. For more details, visit our Delivery Information page.

Our Live Insects are sent via express post every Monday & Tuesday. Usually this takes between 1-3 business days depending on your location. Rural orders may take slightly longer.

Can I pick up my order locally?

Yes! If you're local to our farm in Beerwah on the Sunshine Coast, we can arrange pickup.

Due to security and biosecurity reasons, our farm isn't open to the public.

However, if you place an order for pickup, we will be in touch within 24-48 hours to arrange a time for collection from the front of our property.
